KW James is a born native from Nashville in 1969 and has lived here ever since. Started writing songs at 10. Singing soon after birth. Was in several bands in Nashville from 18-25 writing songs and singing lead for rock/pop bands throughout Nashville and middle Tennessee. In 1994 he got married and has been now for 30+ years with 5 kids and 9 grandkids and counting. Between work and family he made time to continue to write, sing, and record a multitude of songs. He discovered percussion in 1999 and has never let up playing whenever he can, from the recording studio, in Church, festivals, song writers nights, clubs, parties, and etc. He has worked with many top session players in Nashville and now has more time for his passion as a percussionist, singer, and songwriter since kids have all moved out=YEAH! He specializes in Afro-Cuban percussion for the last 25 years and through that can play any musical genre. He doesn't read music but rather internalizes whatever he plays and works-taking notes on different sections of songs and projects. Available just about anytime in the studio or playing percussion live in middle Tennessee area. The three sound clips are songs written and recorded by KW JAMES. He also plays all percussion and sings lead vocals, and sings over 2/3 of the BGVs. The three songs are from his I Don't Know album. This album was produced, engineered, and all guitar work done by Tom Wild. Bass-Spady Bannon/ Drums-William Ellis/ Keyboards-Shane Kiester
